Ambassador Sooklal was also invited to visit the University as a guest lecturer during 2017.

In addition to the Honorary title, in May 2016 Ambassador Sooklal was conferred an Adjunct Professorship in the Faculty of Law and Humanities at the Fujian Agricultural and Forestry University (FAF in China).
