Mandela Day in Gabon
 
 Ambassador Thaninga Pandit Shope-Linney and Madame Madeleine Christiane Ndiaye cut the birthday cake
  
The South African Embassy in Libreville, Gabon held Nelson Mandela International Day celebrations at the Nelson Mandela High School in Libreville, Gabon. The  Embassy and the School collected non-perishable food items for an NGO, Samba Mwana, which means "welcome children". The NGO takes care of needy children in Gabon and currently provides services to 96 children. The food items were handed over by Ambassador Thaninga Pandit Shope-Linney and Madame Madeleine Christiane Ndiaye, Principal of Lycee D'Application Nelson Mandela (Nelson Mandela High School).
