South African flautist Wouter Kellerman  won the Grammy Award for best new age album. Kellerman received a Grammy® Award at the 57th Annual Grammy® Awards for his 2014 album Winds of Samsara, a collaboration with Indian composer and producer Ricky Kej. Winds Of Samsara reached number one on the US Billboard New Age Albums Chart. It took three years and 120 musicians from five continents to make this album.

The album was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela. “The message is of peace, love and tolerance about Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi that’s the message we were trying to communicate with this album,” said Kellerman in an interview.

The Johannesburg born musician says he's happy there's a good news story for South Africa.

Ricky Kej is regarded as a true wizard of the keyboard, manuscript page, and recording studio and has earned multiple awards and honors for his composition and production exploits.
