Tackling Gender Based Violence (GBV) in the times of Covid-19: Global traditional, academic and government stakeholders to participate on the South African Royal Princess Network webinars on Gender Based Violence
South African Royal Princess Network an association of Royal Princesses from various parts of South Africa who are committed to playing their part to uplift and make a difference to their communities, broader South Africa and the world at large will host two webinars on the 29 June 2021. The first webinar at 14h30 to 16h00 will focus on GBV with specific focus on child trafficking, child pornography, child prostitution, child marriages, ukuthwala, child abuse, child labour, cyber safety, bullying and GBV in the times of covid.
Panelists for this webinar include, Deputy Minister of Justice and Correctional Services Nkosi Phathekile Holomisa, gender activist Prof Mzikazi Nduna who is the dean of Health Sciences at the University of Fort Hare, former Ambassador to Mauritius and former Secretary General of IORA Dr Nomvuyo Nokwe, HIV activist and Radio personality Dr Creselda Kananda and President of Imbumba yamakhosikazi akomkhulu, Queen Madosini Ndamase.
Participating in this webinar from the South African Royal Princess Webinar are founder of Princess Gabo Foundation, Princess Gabo Moroka who serves as an Executive in the National House of Traditional Leaders of South Africa, culture and GBV activist Princess Stella Sigcau II, who is the founder of the Mpondo Culture and Heritage Festival and Mpondo Reed Dance, community activist in Mpumalanga Princess Zodwa Mahlangu.
For the second webinar at 18h30 to 20h00 which will focus on GBV on youth in relation to the role of men from a local, traditional and global perspective, panelists include Prince Andrew Williams US based President: Five Points Youth Foundation who is also the New Orleans - South Africa Cultural Connection, Brand Ambassador, Dr Nelly Gicho, New York based Founder of The Connected Hearts Inc which focuses on fighting abuse and exploitation of women and children and Human Trafficking, Pastor Sinoyolo Nokutywa, CEO of Let It Rain Association who is a survivor of GBV, Princess Yanga Tantsi who is Director: Youth Development in the office of the Premier in the Eastern Cape, Prince Kennedy Mampuru from Pedi Kingdom, Prince William Mabhena from Ndebele Kingdom.
