South African National Day 庆祝南非国庆日

The Embassy of the Republic of South Africa in Beijing hosted the National Day Reception on 26 April 2024 to mark the 30th Anniversary of Freedom. The theme of the celebrations is “30 Years of Democracy, Partnership and Growth”. The Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, H.E. Mr. Chen Xiaodong was the Guest of Honour who graced the occasion by his presence. Members of the Diplomatic Corps, the Special Representative of the African Union (AU) and Representatives of the United Nations (UN) Agencies as well as captains of industries attended the event.
南非共和国大使馆 于2024年4月26日在北京凯宾斯基酒店举办了南非国庆日招待会以庆祝南非实现民主自由三十周年。庆祝活动的主题是“民主、伙伴关系和增长的三十年”。中国外交部副部长陈晓东阁下作为主宾出席了会议。外交使团成员、非洲联盟（AU）特别代表、联合国（UN）机构代表以及各行业领袖出席了活动。
2024 marks the 30th anniversary of democracy in South Africa. From 1994 to date, South Africa underwent a peaceful transition from the oppressive colonial and apartheid regime to a constitutional democracy committed to the creation of a society based on democratic values, social justice and fundamental human rights.
2024年是南非建立民主30周年。从1994年至今，南非经历了从压迫性殖民和种族隔离政权到宪政民主的和平过渡，致力于建立一个以民主价值观、社会正义和基本人权为基础的社会。
In his speech, Dr Siyabonga Cwele, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to the People’s Republic of China, highlighted that since 1994 the democratic government, in partnership with the population from all walks of life, has united all South Africans in a quest to build a better life for all, a safer and prosperous Africa, and a better world. Despite all challenges, the government remains committed to provide increasing basket of basic services and creating conditions for an inclusive economy to all who live in South Africa.
南非驻华大使谢胜文在讲话中强调，自1994年以来，民主政府与各行各业的人民团结起来，努力为所有南非人建设更美好的生活、建设一个更安全、繁荣的非洲，以及一个更美好的世界。尽管面临种种挑战，南非政府一直致力于为南非人民提供越来越多的基本服务，并创造条件建立一个包容性经济。
The Constitution of South Africa is a guarantor of democratic values, rule of law and protection of human rights. South Africa will continue to contribute to the achievement of Africa’s continental regeneration and integration program, the Agenda 2063, which also calls for the silencing the guns, building infrastructure, intra-Africa trade, and industrialization.
《南非宪法》是民主价值观、法治和保护人权的保障。南非将继续为实现非洲大陆复兴和一体化计划《2063年议程》做出贡献，特别是在消弭枪声、建设基础设施、非洲内部贸易和工业化方面。
South Africa commits to continue to play a constructive role in global institution's such as the United Nations, G20, BRICS, and global south. South Africa will advocate for inclusiveness, justice, human rights, peace, and development. The country remains committed to demonstrate solidarity with the weak, oppressed, and marginalized. Advocacy for women empowerment and equality remains a top priority for the government. South Africa will play its role in climate change mitigation within the framework of equal but differentiated responsibility.
南非将继续在联合国、二十国集团、金砖国家和全球南方等全球机构中发挥建设性作用。南非将继续倡导包容、正义、人权、和平与发展，声援弱者、被压迫者和被边缘化者，倡导妇女赋权和平等。南非将在平等但有区别的责任框架内，在减缓气候变化方面发挥作用。
on January 1, 1998, the Republic of South Africa and the People’s Republic of China established diplomatic relations. During the past 25 years, bilateral relations continue to grow from strength to strength, which have been elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership underpinned by the new 10-Year Strategic Programme of Cooperation (2020-2029). In August last year, South Africa – China bilateral relations were bolstered by the fourth state visit by His Excellency President Xi Jinping to South Africa at the invitation of His Excellency President Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa. South Africa- China relations were founded on solid principles and today the two countries are making great strides in implementing projects that bring concrete mutual benefits to the peoples of the two nations respectively.
1998年1月1日，南非共和国和中华人民共和国建立外交关系。在过去的25年里，两国关系不断发展壮大，已提升为以新的《十年战略合作纲领》（2020-2029年）为基础的全面战略伙伴关系。去年8月，应南非总统拉马福萨阁下邀请，习近平主席对南非进行了第四次国事访问，推动了南中双边关系的发展。南中关系建立在坚实的原则之上，今天，两国在实施为两国人民带来切实、互利的项目方面取得了长足进步。
Over the past 30 years, South Africans worked hard to build a society believing in the values of democracy, equality, and respect for all.The achievements over the last three decades are a testament to the power of collaboration and partnership to address South Africa’s most pressing challenges. Working together with all its people, the Government of the Republic of South Africa is “confident of the future we want”. Ambassador Cwele concluded his remarks by underscoring the fact that as “we look towards the next decades of freedom, we pledge to continue our African values of Ubuntu, double our efforts to build a prosperous nation, safer Africa and a better world”.
在过去的30年里，南非人民努力建设一个民主、平等和尊重人权的社会。过去三十年的成就证明了合作与伙伴关系在南非应对最紧迫的挑战方面的重要性。南非政府与全体人民一道，“对我们想要的未来充满信心”。谢胜文大使在结束讲话时强调，在“我们展望未来几十年的自由之际，我们承诺将继续坚持乌班图精神，努力建设一个更繁荣的南非、更安全的非洲和更美好的世界”。
