Presentation of Credentials by Ambassador Lindiwe Msengana-Ndlela of the Republic of South Africa to the President of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Aleksandar Vučić

Dr. Lindiwe Msengana-Ndlela presented her Letters of Credence, as the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa, to the President of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Aleksandar Vučić in Belgrade, on 5 July 2024.

During their meeting, and in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr Marko Djuric, Ambassador Msengana-Ndlela recalled the deep historic ties between both countries. She expressed gratitude to the people of Serbia and the former Yugoslavia for their solidarity in support of the people of South Africa and the African Continent. She acknowledged the historic role of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) which was founded in Belgrade and the current principled approaches to peace and the respect of international law that are held by South Africa and Serbia. Ambassador Msengana-Ndlela committed to actively strengthening bilateral relations between both countries. 

Following the credentials ceremony, Ambassador Msengana-Ndlela met with the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Dušan Kozarev. The key areas of cooperation that were highlighted during the meeting include: Trade and Industry; Education; Information Technology; Agriculture; Sport, Arts and Culture; Health and Consular Services.
