South African Royal Princesses Network to elect Leadership

 On 8 March 2025 Princesses from various parts of South Africa will gather in Midrand, Gauteng to elect their leadership. The vision for the Network is to create a unified and empowered community of Princesses from diverse backgrounds across South Africa, driving positive change and development in their respective communities.

The Networks seeks to also provide a platform for Princesses to connect, share knowledge, and collaborate on initiatives that promote community upliftment, youth development, rural growth, and women's empowerment.

The SAPRN seeks to establish a strong network of South African Princesses; create a platform for Princesses to connect, share experiences, and support one another; empowerment through knowledge sharing; contribute in the awareness regarding GBV, human and child trafficking, substance abuse, femicide, child abuse; destigmatise mental illness; facilitate workshops, training sessions, and discussions on topics such as leadership, public administration, corporate governance, community development, and entrepreneurship.

They will also embark, as they have been doing since 2019, on Community development initiatives; collaborate on projects that address social, economic, and environmental challenges in communities across South Africa; promote tourism, youth development and mentorship; establish mentorship programs, career guidance, and skills development initiatives for women and girls; identify and support initiatives that promote rural development, such as agriculture, education, and infrastructure development; promote women's empowerment and gender equality; advocate for women's rights, gender equality, and social justice, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.

The Princesses will continue to create initiatives in collaboration with government; traditional councils, municipalities; NPOs as well as other relevant stakeholders to promote South Africa's rich diverse heritage as a people, and diverse multilingual nation fostering unity that enables tradition and modernity to coexist. The Royal Princesses will continue with their international engagements creating relations with various diplomatic Missions and Royalties of the world. They will collaborate on initiatives of common interest.

Of importance is the promotion and preservation of South Africa's diverse cultural heritage of, celebrating diverse traditions, customs, and histories.

The official launch is expected to take place at Lwandlolubomvu Great Place in Ntabankulu in September. The South African Royal Princesses Network was founded by Princess Stella Sigcau II of the Mpondo Kingdom, a diplomat who has served South Africa in various Missions including Thailand, the Republic of Congo, Botswana and Hong Kong. She is also the founder of the Mpondo Reed Dance, inkciyo yamaMpondo in 2008 and co-founder of the Mpondo Culture and Heritage Festival in 2006.
