Lin Songtian interview - CPPCC

5 March 2025
Lin Songtian, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said in an interview with reporters that the "Belt and Road" initiative has always adhered to the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, and is committed to promoting the construction of "five links" of policy coordination, infrastructure connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration and people-to-people bonds.
This initiative has benefited more than 150 countries, not only creating significant economic benefits, but also promoting cultural exchanges and technical cooperation among countries along the Belt and Road, and enhancing understanding and friendship between countries. Practice has proved that the Belt and Road Initiative not only benefits the country and the people, but also injects strong impetus into global development.
In the future, with the joint efforts of all parties, high-quality Belt and Road cooperation will provide more development opportunities for the people of China and other countries around the world, and promote the prosperity and development of the global economy.
This is not only a more accessible way for Chinese to pursue their dream of the world, but also a beautiful vision for more people to share the fruits of development. (From the two sessions of the Beijing CPPCC).
