 The South African Embassy in Athens celebrated Heritage Day with this year’s theme “Celebrating 20 Years of Democracy: Tell your story that moves South Africa Forward!” The theme encourages South Africans to tell their stories as part of celebrating 20 years of democracy. On this day, South Africans come together to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and diversity thus known as the “rainbow nation”.
In welcoming his guests, South African Ambassador, HE Mr Sophonia R Makgetla, emphasized that this year Heritage Day is celebrated in combination with the 20 Years of Freedom and Democracy. The Ambassador further noted that Heritage Month in South Africa will present an opportunity to remind the nation of South Africa’s rich heritage through oral history narrations, exhibitions, poetry, book reading sessions, music and dance. South Africa is characterized by its fusion of diverse musical forms while South African dance is unique in its vitality and energy.
Etihad Airways Partners unveiled

Etihad Airways Partners, a new brand which brings together like-minded airlines to offer customers more choice through improved networks and schedules and enhanced frequent flyer benefits, has been unveiled today.
Initially, six airlines will participate in the new partnership - airberlin, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles, Jet Airways, Etihad Regional* and Etihad Airways.
